This shot was taken whilst up in North Wales for the week. There was two rescues taking place at the same time both in the Tryfan area, so this helicopter was helping both mountain rescue and RAF rescue at the same time.
This was my first visit to the Mach Loop this year due to the awful weather conditions and poor light that has been the norm since before Christmas. Anyway we were treated to quite a few passes of Hawks and Hecs. These were taken from the Bwlch Top Shelf.
This was our first fall of real snow this winter in the Brecon Beacons. So we decided to pop up to the summit of Pen y Fan which is where this image was taken from. The sun only stayed visible for about another 10 minutes, then it disappeared for the remainder of the day.
